The mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin on Monday opened after reconstruction the Museum of archaeology of Moscow.

In Moscow after extensive renovations, opened the Museum of archeology of the capital. Updated the exhibition was seen by Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin, reports “TV Center” .

The establishment was closed for repairs a few years ago. During this time, increased exhibition space, radically changed the infrastructure. Also found modern equipment and created a virtual model of ancient Moscow. Soon planning to open a School of aspiring archaeologist. The Museum is located underground in the heart of the capital. Here you can see unique exhibits from the excavations of the city, only two thousand objects. The jewel of the exhibition is a part of the resurrection of a 17th-century bridge over the Neglinnaya river.

“Today we are opening a wonderful Museum of archeology of Moscow, which, unfortunately, in 1997, was opened with a serious archaeological violations, it was necessary again to reconstruct, restore utilities, networks, and at the same time to supply the most modern Museum equipment. So I think that now the Museum will be for many years to serve the Muscovites and guests of the capital”, – said Sergey Sobyanin.
